Agnolo Bronzino “Venus, Cupid, Folly and Time”

Let’s all take a closer look at this classic painting of playful incest. We have Cupid, son of Venus, groping his mother while planting a light kiss upon her mouth. Then we have Folly on the right, holding flowers like he’s about to shower mother and son with petals. To his left we have a creature with a girl’s head and a wack body who’s supposed to be Pleasure/Fraud. Whatever she is, it’s like she’s saying “say whaaaaatttttt?" Above those two we have Time who is perhaps saying "SHIELD YOUR EYES" to Oblivion, who is the creepy figure opposite Time. Under Oblivion is perhaps Jealousy, or a symbol of syphilis. She just looks like a witch.
Or at least, that’s my interpretation of this piece.
